I am a painter and printmaker and have been creating art since completing my B.A. (Hons) in Fine Art at Sunderland University in 1995.
My work is influenced by the landscapes around me and the natural forms and wildlife that I observe.
My paintings are an expressive and atmospheric response to being in the landscape. The perpetual motion of nature verses man is a theme that runs throughout my work where I am constantly challenged by the changing environment.
Observational studies of nature inform still life paintings. Often painted on wood, detailed studies of colour, form and texture are recorded and displayed. This enriched source of information in turn allows me to explore different aspects of nature through print applications such as relief print and intaglio.
I work from my studio in Cornwall where I am inspired by the beautiful and diverse landscapes that it offers.

A range of works is available through my Etsy Shop or through Open Studio events.
